Living Labs

The concept of ambient assisted living has been developed in recent years around the provision of solutions, usually home automation, in smart homes. In the case of the Living Lab, the concept goes beyond home interior environments, extending to a set of dwellings and service spaces, and even to public urban spaces. It includes robots that can go out on the streets, take out the trash, assist elderly people to move, or even go shopping at the neighborhood grocery store. The development of this type of robotic systems is not only innovative but its test in real urban environments, with effective technology needs to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants, gives it an enormous potential for research, innovation and market.

This is a component of great importance for the project, transforming the entire municipality into an integrated city.
